Packas has existed for more than 18 years and specializes in the distribution of all kinds of barrier films in the field of food packaging for the food industry in Belgium & Northern France. The customers consist of both international companies and SMEs. In close cooperation with various certified manufacturers, a wide range of films for vacuum, skin or MAP packaging is offered as well as customization. Advice, support and service to customers are highly valued. Packas currently consists of 6 employees who are responsible for a customer-oriented, solution & service-oriented approach on a daily basis thanks to the acquired know-how and expertise.

Fucntion

  • Your main focus is on expanding and developing industrial customer relationships in the food industry in the field of ‘barrier films for food packaging’ in Flanders by doing active B2B prospecting and realizing new sales opportunities.
  • You identify and qualify potential customers based on a sales plan. You also initiate the sales process by making appointments & by realizing visits to those prospects.
  • Based on your solution-oriented attitude, your food-technological knowledge and a thorough needs analysis, you offer a suitable solution to your potential customers where you propose and follow up the different phases of your project for the customer.
  • You draw up cooperation agreements after securing your project deal and you also systematically and regularly visit your customer so that you can do up selling or cross selling. You build a long-term relationship with your customers.
  • You are responsible for reporting your sales & marketing actions and you discuss your results with the directors on a regular basis.
  • You keep your knowledge up to date and have an eye for developments and trends in the market, which allows you to contribute to the collection of strategic market information.
  • In this position, you report to the director and act as his right-hand man in the field of Sales.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and preferably an economic or food-technology background.
  • You have commercial B2B experience in the supply industry for food companies or in the food industry.
  • You like to persevere to achieve a specific goal with customers and you get energy from your relational & solution-oriented approach after the deal has been closed.
  • You express yourself fluently in Dutch, French and English and you are someone who takes care of his written communication in a professional manner. You can easily handle the standard office / ERP packages.
  • You like to contribute to the growth of an organization with your pragmatic approach and autonomous way of working.
