What is tray sealing?
Tray sealing is a popular packaging solution for fresh foods. Pre-formed trays in PP, PET or aluminium are quickly and hygienically sealed with a lidding film, ensuring optimal freshness, presentation and processing speed.
Peelable lidding films can be removed from the tray by a simple manual action. Crucial for lidding films is good anti-condensation or anti-fog performance with a crystal-clear film and excellent product presentation. Packas has already been using (recyclable) monostructures from PET or PP for several years.
Non-peel or lock seal films are tightly sealed to the tray. The film should not be removable from the tray under any circumstances.
